1. What did the wasp want to know from the bee?

Ans – The wasp wanted to know why people loved the bee more than him.
বৰলটোৱে জানিব বিচাৰিছিল যে মানুহে মৌমাখিটোক তাতকৈ কিয় বেছি ভাল পায়।
2. What do the wasp and the bee say about their appearance?
বৰল আৰু মৌমাখিয়ে সিহঁতৰ শাৰীৰিক ৰূপৰ বিষয়ে কি কয়?
Ans: – The wasp says his back is bright yellow and he has an elegant shape.
The bee admits her dress is plain and homely.

Ans: – Because he stings people easily on small matters and causes mischief.

4. Which one do you think is more handsome — the bee or the wasp? Why?

Ans: – The wasp may be more handsome in appearance, but the bee is more kind and useful, which makes her more lovable.

5. Bring out the points of similarity and dissimilarity between the wasp and the bee.

Both have stings.
Both are flying insects.
Both belong to the same family (cousins).
Dissimilarity:
The wasp is quick to sting and causes harm.
The bee is gentle, hard-working, and rarely stings.
The wasp is elegant but disliked; the bee is simple but loved.

বৰলতো দেখাত ধুনীয়া হ’লেও মানুহে পছন্দ নকৰে; মৌমাখীজনী সৰল হ’লেও সকলোৰে প্ৰিয়।
6. The bee has a sting, yet it is liked and loved. Why?
মৌমাখীৰ শুং আছে, তথাপি মানুহে মৌমাখিক ভাল পায়। কিয়?
Ans: -Because the bee is good-natured, does not sting without reason, and is helpful and hardworking.
কাৰণ মৌমাখাজনী ভাল স্বভাৱৰ, কাৰণ নোহোৱাকৈ দংশন নকৰে, আৰু উপকাৰী তথা পৰিশ্ৰমী।
7. Do you think the wasp will accept the bee’s advice? Give your reason.
তুমি কি ভাবা, বৰলে মৌমাখীৰ পৰামৰ্শ গ্ৰহণ কৰিব? তোমাৰ কাৰণ দিয়া।
Ans: – No, because the wasp is proud and not ready to change its bad behavior. It cares more about looks than being kind and helpful.
নহয়, কাৰণ বৰলটো গৰ্বিত আৰু নিজৰ বেয়া আচৰণ সলনি কৰিবলৈ সাজু নহয়। সি ভাল আচৰণতকৈ বাহ্যিক ৰূপক বেছি গুৰুত্ব দিয়ে।
8. What lesson can we learn from this poem?
Ans: – We learn from this poem that good behavior, kindness and being helpful are more important than physical appearance. People like us more for our good nature than for our looks.
এই কবিতাটিৰ পৰা আমি শিকোঁ যে ভাল আচৰণ, দয়া আৰু সহায়কাৰী হোৱাটো বাহ্যিক ৰূপতকৈ বহুত বেছি মূল্যৱান। মানুহে আমাক আমাৰ ৰূপতকৈ আমাৰ ভাল স্বভাৱৰ বাবেই বেছি ভাল পায়।

9. (a) Rewrite the following passage, using the correct form of the words given in brackets :-
A person is judged not from his (appear/appearance) but from his behaviour. Handsome is that handsome does. This is the (true/truth) of all living things – men, birds and animals. A snake has a (glass/glossy) body, but it is hated because of its (poison/poisonous). A dog, a fox and a wolf belong to the (same/similar) family. They look almost the same. But (when/while) a dog is loved, a fox is hated and a wolf is feared. Both the bee (or/and) the wasp have a bright body. But we hate the wasp and love the bee. Why? It is one’s (nature/natural) that makes one hated or loved.
